green label (Celebrating age!)

One of the many, many, things that make me happy about having a shop is taking time to source and introduce old items into the store. This has been forever my preferred personal style, with days, weeks and months of my life happily spent rummaging through antiques fairs and charity shops searching for ‘treasure’ the fact that i have managed to design a life for myself where this is now classed as ‘work’ is such a buzz.

It was important to me when curating the look of the store from the start that it had the extra depth and soul that i think can only come from layering older pieces into your space. Not only do they give you a truly individual home, but at a time when we are all feeling the extra ‘weight’ that new items carry environmentally, spending your money on old, reclaimed or recycled pieces feels even better than ever.

This season we are really loving aged wooden homewares, seeking out statement breadboards and bowls to use as decorative pieces in their own right or as a key part of daily life, summer picnic platters or displaying home made treats! We are also a sucker for a handsome chair, and often refurbish and reupholster vintage chairs breathing new life into old.

Our most loved green label is most certainly our preloved clothing, a series of seasonal events held in store at the start of each season, celebrating vintage and secondhand clothes is another passion of mine, sign up to our newsletter (in the footer) or follow us to make sure you don’t miss out! So when you are shopping with us you will clearly be able to see if a piece is old, each one proudly wearing its green label.
