urban calm

to create a restful retreat above the bustle of town was our brief, a space to recharge and connect with friends and family, or simply alone.

by limiting our palette to its most minimal form we created easy, visually unchallenging spaces that felt relaxed and instantly comforting to spend time in.

layering with natural, honest materials, cotton, linen, woods and stone added the final touches of tactile warmth.

restraint was used when considering the details, the absence of architraves and skirtings allowed the doors to sit more quietly in the apartment.

a single paint colour was used in the majority of the spaces rolling from the floor up and over the ceiling to bring balance and allows your eye instead to focus on the dressing items in each space, creating a gallery like calm.
